What is Moneycontrol Fund Rating?
Moneycontrol Rating is a toolkit to measure the consistency of performance of funds and is purely quantitative. The rating gives a quick summary of how a fund has performed historically relative to its peers. Investors are cautioned that past performance is not indicative of the future performance of the fund.

How Funds are rated?
Moneycontrol scores reflect fund's historical total return performance relative to peers. The returns though adjusted for dividends and bonus, are not adjusted for loads.

| Moneycontrol does not rate a fund with less than 12 months performance track record. Each category must have a minimum of 10 funds for it to be rated. Moneycontrol does not rate Index funds and Institutional Plans.

| Moneycontrol believes that a larger size helps funds remain stable. Hence, only AMCs with assets size within the top 99% of the total assets managed by the mutual fund industry, and funds managing assets within the top 99% of the total assets managed by its peer group, qualify for the rating.

Calculation & Scoring
The overall calculation is based on sum of percentile ranks for total return metrics over 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years periods (as applicable) with maximum weightage given to the 1-year returns. The scores are subject to change every month.
